Renley Dennis

Renley Dennis is a civil litigator and a citizen of the Choctaw Nation, with deep roots in southeastern Oklahoma. He was raised in Antlers, a small town within the Choctaw Nation Reservation, where his connection to community and service first took shape.

Prior to obtaining is law degree, Renley moved to Arizona to work as a wildland firefighter, spending four years on crews with the United States Forest Service and Northwest Fire in Tucson. He later returned to Oklahoma, earning his bachelor’s degree in Interpersonal Communications from the University of Central Oklahoma, followed by his Juris Doctor and a Master’s in Native American Studies from the University of Oklahoma.

Renley’s practice is grounded in civil litigation, with a particular focus on representing tribal governments, public entities, and individuals. He has worked closely with the Choctaw Nation, Quapaw Nation, Chickasaw Nation, and other tribal clients in both litigation and governance matters. He also serves as Parliamentarian for the Choctaw Nation Tribal Council, where he advises on legislative procedure and governance issues.

In addition to his tribal work, Renley has represented institutions such as the University of Oklahoma, the Oklahoma Educational Television Authority, and the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education. His litigation experience includes insurance bad faith, wrongful death, negligence, and contract disputes, and he has contributed to multiple significant settlements.

Renley is licensed to practice in Oklahoma and in all federal courts across the state, as well as the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals. He is also barred in the Choctaw Nation courts.

At his core, Renley approaches his work with a simple focus: understand the problem, stay disciplined, and advocate relentlessly for his clients.
